Didn't Expect To See This One

Saw this MkV Ford Cortina 1.6 GL in a carpark today. Why wasn't she at the classic and vintage car show going on a few yards away? Looked fairly good, in need of a little tidying but then aren't we all? In Sunburst Red and a very welcome sight.

This One Caught My Eye

A 1953 Ford Prefect. Cars of this era were very stylish. Though no doubt there were still a few of these about in the 1970s, my father never brought anything as old as this home. I am very grateful to those who down the years have preserved these cars so we can still see them in real life today.

A Curious Choice

A 1974 Morris Marina Coupe Super. In one of the many lovely colours available on Morris and Austin cars during the 1970s. My dad had one of these, in a shade of apricot. You can just see the very comfortable vinyl seats in this model, who of my generation does not have memories of being stuck to these on a hot day?

What a Lovely Car

This is a Mercedes-Benz 380 SEL from 1980. I do like these big Mercedes cars. In beautiful condition, what a treat to have this sitting outside your house!

Has He Got A Licence?

Not sure if this old lorry was safe in this character's paws! One of the fun things about car shows is when people adorn their vehicles with lovable creatures like this one.

Really Like This One

This is a stunning Ford Capri. This one dates from 1974 and was an absolute delight to see. I'm sure if they brought this car out again it would sell. What a classic shape.

My Favourite Car

This will be a strange choice to many but the Ford Cortina Mark 4 and 5 are my favourite cars. Very popular with dads over the years, my father had three Mark 4s, two of them 2.o litre Ghias. This is a Mark 5 in lovely condition. These cars are now very rare.
